spring summer 23/24 runway

our first ever runway show presented by emerging artists collective took place in naarm, Melbourne in late November 2023.

The concept of this runway collection “altered ego” discusses the relationship between different identities and the body. Aiming to embody a sense of emotional reaction between the garment and the wearers. In doing so it explores the stretch of fabric on all body forms, manipulated to evoke a unique sense of shape and aesthetic. Designing through layering and creating multiple pieces enhances the altered ego concept by exploring different identities through the different pieces. This collection adopts a relationship between the fabric and the body. There is a contrast between the black power mesh and metallic rose latex, enforcing the combining of textures and a sense of the fabric being our second skin. Supporting this is the detailed bra straps used throughout, acting as a motif.
